Raised in a world of racism and violence among skinheads, a young man chooses to reject his past and seek redemption, aided by a black activist and the love of his life.
Following a recent event involving the arson of a mosque in his hometown, disillusioned Neo-Nazi skinhead Bryon Widner, portrayed by Jamie Bell, chooses to abandon the white supremacist movement. He marries Julie Price, a local resident played by Danielle Macdonald, and starts taking on various jobs with undocumented workers, who gradually accept him for renouncing his racist beliefs.
In retaliation, members of the white supremacist group attack his home while Bryon and his pregnant wife Julie are inside, but fortunately, they remain unharmed. To protect his family from further violence, Bryon collaborates with political activist Daryle Lamont Jenkins, played by Mike Colter, and FBI agent Marks, portrayed by Mary Stuart Masterson. Their efforts lead to an FBI raid on the white supremacist compound, resulting in the arrest of Krager, a member of the group, played by Bill Camp.
After the raid, Jenkins continues to lead the One People’s Project and maintains a strong friendship with Bryon. Over the next two years, Bryon undergoes multiple surgeries to remove all his facial and hand tattoos. He also pursues a degree in criminal psychology and shares his journey across the country, advocating for tolerance and inclusion based on his personal experiences.
